Abstract

The Loyola-Reina center constitutes a complementary education initiative in the current Havana society. This article analyzes the process of evolution and development of this apostolic work, as well as the social sectors involved in their daily activities, from the collaborators to the consumers of the proposals. Similarly, the main stages and transformations of space are defined, as well as their pedagogical foundations: popular education and Ignatian pedagogy. Due to the quantity of the projects, four workshops were taken as samples for the analysis: Convivir, Cuesta Arriba, the Forum Loyola and Muñequería. These spaces provided information on the affective networks built between the collaborators and the students, as well as the way in which the Loyola center has influenced the community during the time frame proposed in this research.
