Cultura y desarrollo humano
Abstract
The article tries to bring out the cultural dimension in the basic assumptions of the human development paradigm espoused by the United Nations Development Program. The authors who subscribe to the paradigm, among whom Amartya Sen stands out, have recently recognized this need. Starting from a revision of the concepts of culture and human development, the article centers on the concept of cultural liberty, which replenishes the notion of human development by taking it as an expansion of the human liberties.
