Bosch the historian
Abstract
Outline of the dominant features which structure the vision sustained by the illustrious intellectual and politician concerning the national process of development. The pessimistic tone which underlies the greater part of his discourse about the past and future of the country, as well as a certain psychologism, the notorious didactic intention, and the elements of Hostosian positivism and of historical materialism which integrate his works, are explored by the author in the interest of trying to explain some of the most severe contentions and positions of the writer before the Dominican reality.
