Poverty, governability and neoliberalism
Abstract
In his declaration to the members of Parlacen, the author presents some of the features which characterize neo-liberalism and globalization. He shows the negative'social consequences of this economic system in terms of employment and poverty, and reminds us that the State cannot abdicate its responsibility of looking after the common welfare and guaranteeing social equity.
