This article proposes some key principies that might guide the adoption of antitrust legislation in the Dominican Republic. One has to take into account that Dominican industry has had a chanca to develop thanks to the system of import substitution. The Sherman Law (and the laws that modify it and complete it) and the Treaty of Rome will serve as points of departure.
