Del barrio a la ciudad pasando por la sociedad civil
Abstract
Civil society as a sphere of recognition and fair exchange is difficult to attain in a society beset with deep rifts. A case in point is the estrangement, described in this article, of barrío (not adequately translated by inner city, slum area, ... etc. - better to see the description in the article) inhabitants with respect to the urbane city world. The only strategy possible is that the popular organizations in the barrios articulate and reinforce themselves by defining their interests in face of the themes ofthe national agenda.
