About the Directive on Return (of illegal immigrants) approved by the full European Parliament on June 18, 2008 session

The Directive on Return establishes rules and procedures on the deportation of illegal immigrants who enter a European territory or have such condition. This initiative has been considered, in some European areas, as the first step towards a true common European immigration policy. In this sense, this report examines the content of such Directive trying to keep within legal parameters, appealing to consider its contents and possible effects with caution.
