Professor Byung-Chul Han's thought is presented based on his main essays published to the present, not only to disseminate his main ideas regarding contemporary civilization, but to demonstrate the value of his concepts of power and freedom, both to criticize the way of life in the West, as if to show why Western society is becoming more and more equal to the experience of the Eastern world. In this context, he opens up to a new experience and conception of love understood as a kind compassionate openness towards the other.
