The author critically studies the notion of human development in four stages. First, she briefly describes the theory of development. Second, she presents the development approach conceived by Amartya Sen, based on the concept of capability. In third place, she criticizes Sen's point in the dialogue of the Martha Nussbaum's philosophical writings. And finally she summarizes her proposal inspired in her interpretations of Aristotle's.
