This article, taking as a starting point Marx’s Grundrisse, examines the main characteristics of the current Postfordist condition of work: the productive force of knowledge, linguistic exchange and affections, immaterial work and cognitive capitalism. Subsequently seeks to establish a very difficult conversation between an instrumental knowledge today released in a radical way and a narrative that gives meaning, either from the point of view of a dogmatic Ultimacy, or from a purpose constituted cooperatively and conventionally between human beings.
