Estudios Sociales is a journal of social and humanistic research published every six months by the Center for Reflection and Social Action Padre Juan Montalvo, S.J., and by the Institute of Higher Studies in Humanities, Social Sciences and Philosophy Pedro Francisco Bonó. Both entities are part of the apostolic work of the Society of Jesus in the Dominican Republic. The magazine publishes articles on sociopolitical, cultural, and economic issues in the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean region. It also publishes current affairs in the humanities and philosophy. It is open to national and international collaborations that meet its objectives and editorial standards.
